The inspiration for the theme of this August christening was delineated in this blog post. Here are a few snapshots of the big day in the life of a little Irish-Greek lady. the candle: I cut the shape of a dove associated with her second name Eirini as the symbol of peace and then added two hearts. The traditional Lefkadian embroidery with dusty pink silk thread is the work of yiayia Vassiliki.
